Mariah L. Sukalski

Mariah L. Sukalski is an attorney at Belin McCormick, P.C., providing strategic representation in litigation, labor and employment, and immigration matters. She assists clients across diverse industries, guiding them from initial investigations through trial and appeal. Her practice includes complex business disputes, contract claims, trust and estate litigation, wrongful termination, and family law. She also has extensive experience in mediation and negotiation, helping clients secure favorable outcomes without the need for court intervention.

Mariah earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2019, where she served as Executive Comments Editor for the University of Chicago Legal Forum and participated in the Jenner & Block Supreme Court and Appellate Clinic. In this role, she drafted certiorari petitions, briefs, and assisted in securing a successful Seventh Circuit appeal. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude in just two years. Before joining the firm, she clerked for Justice Thomas Waterman of the Iowa Supreme Court.

In her labor and employment law practice, Mariah advises employers on compliance, workplace investigations, discipline decisions, and policy development. She defends clients in matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and wrongful termination. In immigration, she focuses on employment-based compliance, I-9 audits, ICE site visit preparation, and PERM applications, working closely with HR teams to meet workforce needs.

Mariah L. Sukalski is admitted to practice in Iowa, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is active in the Iowa State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and contributes to the ABA Litigation Section.
