About

Margaret F. Brown, known as Maggie, is a partner with a practice concentrated on insurance litigation. She represents clients in both first- and third-party claims, with a primary focus on third-party insurance defense. Her experience includes managing complex disputes, developing strategies to resolve claims efficiently, and protecting client interests through litigation. Brown’s work reflects her commitment to careful case preparation and strong advocacy in both trial and settlement settings.

Brown earned her B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2009 before attending the University of Oregon School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2014. During law school, she gained practical experience as an intern with Judge Debra Vogt of the Lane County Circuit Court and with a boutique plaintiff’s firm in Tucson, Arizona. Since graduating, she has lived and practiced law in Texas, where she has built a successful career in litigation.

Brown’s career began with valuable pre-law experiences, including work at Foley & Lardner LLP, a major law firm, and serving as a project manager at a business advocacy organization in Madison, Wisconsin. She also worked with the Dane County Regional Transit Authority, which allowed her to develop organizational and leadership skills that continue to shape her legal practice today. These roles gave her insight into business operations and client service that complement her litigation work.

Margaret F. Brown is admitted to practice in Texas, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas. She is actively involved in professional organizations, including the San Antonio Bar Association, San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, Bexar County Women’s Bar Association, and investigation units related to insurance law. Her career reflects both professional achievement and a dedication to service within the legal community.
