About
Luke D. Mayefske is a Partner at PKSD who focuses on personal injury cases from the claim stage through trial. His practice includes motor vehicle collisions, dog attacks, slip and falls, and premises liability matters. Before joining PKSD in 2014, he handled personal injury and workers’ compensation cases at a general practice firm. His background also includes judicial and government experience that informs how he investigates disputes, develops claims, and prepares matters for litigation.
Luke earned his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2011 after receiving a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 with double majors in Legal Studies and Political Science. He was admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 2011. His education provided a foundation in legal research, advocacy, government institutions, and case analysis, supporting his work with injured clients whose claims require detailed factual development and careful application of Wisconsin law.
Luke previously worked for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of General Counsel, where he assisted federal government attorneys with legal advice and litigation involving veterans’ issues. He also worked with the Wisconsin Department of Justice Consumer Protection Unit on lawsuits for injured consumers and served as a law clerk for district court judges in Outagamie and Brown County Circuit Courts. These roles added government, consumer protection, and judicial perspectives to his later personal injury practice.
Luke D. Mayefske is admitted in Wisconsin and is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association. His practice at PKSD centers on representing injured people in personal injury litigation and preparing cases through trial when necessary. His earlier work in government, consumer protection, judicial chambers, personal injury, and workers’ compensation gives him a varied litigation background. He uses that experience to evaluate claims, prepare evidence, and guide clients through the legal process after serious injuries.
