Lisa Fine Moses

Lisa Fine Moses is a seasoned trial attorney and partner at LFM Defense, with over three decades of experience fighting for the rights of individuals accused of crimes. She focuses her practice on criminal defense and civil restraining orders, and has tried hundreds of cases before state, federal, and appellate courts. Lisa is known for her tenacity in the courtroom, her strategic approach to defense, and her unwavering commitment to treating each client as a person—not just a case file.

Lisa earned her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1993 and received her B.A. in Political Science from Colorado College in 1989. She is admitted to practice in Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to serve a diverse client base with clarity and empathy.

Lisa launched her legal career as a public defender with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office from 1993 to 1999, gaining extensive courtroom and trial experience. She then became a partner at Knight and Moses, where she spent 16 years building a strong reputation in Colorado criminal defense before joining LFM Defense. Over the course of her career, Lisa has argued cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. She has earned consistent recognition from Super Lawyers, received the prestigious Jonathon Olom Award from the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of professional excellence.

In addition to her litigation work, Lisa Fine Moses is a respected legal educator, teaching trial advocacy and ethics for organizations such as the Alternate Defense Counsel and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar.
