Lisa Fine Moses is a seasoned trial attorney and partner at LFM Defense, with over three decades of experience fighting for the rights of individuals accused of crimes. She focuses her practice on criminal defense and civil restraining orders, and has tried hundreds of cases before state, federal, and appellate courts. Lisa is known for her tenacity in the courtroom, her strategic approach to defense, and her unwavering commitment to treating each client as a person—not just a case file.
Lisa earned her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1993 and received her B.A. in Political Science from Colorado College in 1989. She is admitted to practice in Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to serve a diverse client base with clarity and empathy.
Lisa began her legal career as a public defender, serving with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office from 1993 to 1999. She later became a partner at Knight and Moses, where she practiced for 16 years before joining LFM Defense. She has argued cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Her honors include long-standing recognition by Super Lawyers, the Jonathon Olom Award from the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, and an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
In addition to her litigation work, Lisa Fine Moses is a respected legal educator, teaching trial advocacy and ethics for organizations such as the Alternate Defense Counsel and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. She also serves as faculty for the National College of Criminal Defense. Her dedication to mentorship and continuing education reflects her deep commitment to justice and professional excellence.
