Catherine A. Ryan has over two decades of litigation experience, focusing on civil cases including torts, product liability, and professional negligence. Her practice spans both state and Federal courts, where she has led numerous trials and appeals. Catherine also brings extensive experience in complex litigation and multidistrict matters, as well as qui-tam and contract disputes.
Catherine earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire. She later completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Georgia School of Law in 2002. Her legal education built a strong foundation for her litigation practice, allowing her to represent clients with skill and precision in a wide range of civil matters.
Catherine has successfully defended summary judgment motions in cases involving legal malpractice, negligent design, and breach of contract. She has also secured favorable jury verdicts, including a $973,000 award for her client. Her appellate work includes arguments before the Arkansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, where she has achieved reversals and affirmations in key decisions.
Catherine is admitted to practice in Arkansas, Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the Eastern District of Arkansas, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. She has been honored as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers from 2010–2013 and again recognized as a Super Lawyer from 2022 to 2024. Her contributions include co-authoring a chapter in the Massachusetts Tort Law Manual and speaking on legal topics.
