Lindsay Truly is a seasoned Fort Worth criminal defense attorney, widely known for her focused work in DWI and misdemeanor cases. As a former prosecutor, she brings invaluable experience and strategy into the courtroom. She has tried over 50 criminal jury trials and has resolved thousands of DWI and criminal matters with precision and care.
Lindsay’s education began at North Crowley High School, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship from Baylor University. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law. Lindsay was admitted to the Texas Bar in November 2011 and has remained in good standing ever since.
Lindsay has represented individuals facing DWI charges across varying levels of complexity, from first-time offenses to felony DWI with aggravating circumstances. Her insight from years as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, including presenting Felony DWIs before a Grand Jury, allows her to anticipate prosecutorial strategies and craft strong defenses.
In addition to her trial experience, Lindsay has earned numerous professional recognitions. She has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star by Thomson Reuters every year from 2020 through 2025. She has also been recognized as a Top Attorney in Criminal Law by both Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West Magazine across multiple years.
Lindsay’s memberships include the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Texas Young Lawyers Association. She also held past membership in the Texas District & County Attorneys Association during her prosecutorial career from 2012 to 2015.
