Liberty Sanborn

Liberty Sanborn is an Albuquerque-based attorney known for her dedication to justice and unwavering commitment to defending individuals facing complex legal challenges. With a strong foundation in criminal defense and personal injury, she has advocated for clients in cases ranging from DWI to violent crime and medical malpractice.

Liberty began her academic journey at the University of New Mexico, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government in 2020. She also studied abroad at the University of Sussex in 2019. She later completed her Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2023. While in law school, she was active in the Student Trial Lawyers Association, NMACLU Student Chapter, and the Association of Public Interest.

Liberty began her legal career as a law clerk, gaining practical, hands-on experience and a strong foundation in client advocacy. After earning her law degree, she spent a year at the Albuquerque Public Defender’s Office, where she represented individuals facing serious criminal charges. These early roles sharpened her courtroom strategy, strengthened her client-focused approach, and deepened her expertise in legal research and case preparation.

Liberty has handled a wide variety of practice areas, including criminal defense, drug and violent crimes, domestic violence, DWI defense, and white collar crime. She also assists clients in personal injury cases, including car accidents and medical malpractice claims.
