Leslie M. Luttrell is a shareholder and a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Creditor Rights, and Commercial Litigation Section. With more than three decades of experience, she has built a respected practice representing clients in complex matters involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, banking, corporate, real estate, and commercial litigation. Her dedication to legal excellence has earned her the prestigious “AV Preeminent” peer rating by Martindale-Hubbell, recognizing the highest level of professional ability and ethical standards.
Ms. Luttrell earned her B.A., with honors, in 1981 and her J.D. in 1983 from St. Mary’s University. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984. Following law school, she served as Senior Law Clerk to the Honorable Bert W. Thompson, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas, from 1983 to 1985. This early experience provided her with valuable insight into the federal court system and bankruptcy proceedings, which continues to guide her practice today.
After completing her clerkship, Ms. Luttrell entered private practice in San Antonio in 1985 and later in El Paso before returning to San Antonio in 1998, where she continues to serve clients across Texas. She has written and spoken extensively for the State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education programs on issues involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and collections. Her work demonstrates both her deep knowledge of the law and her commitment to educating others in the legal profession.
Leslie M. Luttrell is admitted to practice before all United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts in Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Tax Court. She is a member of the State Bar College and a life member of the Texas Bar Foundation, further reflecting her dedication to advancing the legal profession and serving the community.
