Leonardo Monterrey (“Leo”) is the founding partner of Monterrey Law Firm PLLC, where he focuses on immigration and criminal defense law. With more than 15 years of jury trial experience, he represents clients facing serious charges and complex legal challenges. He handles cases involving rape, assault, battery, and non-death capital murder. He also guides individuals and families through complex immigration matters, working to protect their rights and secure stable futures through careful preparation and strong courtroom advocacy statewide in Arkansas.

Mr. Monterrey earned his B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock after attending on a baseball scholarship. He later received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, completing his legal education with a strong focus on public service. During law school, he served as President of the Hispanic Law Students Association and worked as a District Aide, assisting residents with immigration related concerns. He built a foundation for leadership and community service.

Mr. Monterrey has been recognized for excellence and dedication to justice throughout his career. He was appointed to the Arkansas Racial Profiling Committee and selected for the Arkansas Business 40 Under 40, an honor recognizing leaders shaping the state’s future. He has been named a Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Star for 11 consecutive years. His firm has also received community-voted awards for trusted legal representation and consistent results.
