W. Justin Adams

Justin Adams is a Partner in Nashville who assists companies and individuals with corporate, health care, and employment matters. He also helps clients handle disputes and avoid legal risk. When needed, he works to resolve litigation in a practical, efficient way while serving as outside general counsel.

Justin earned his Bachelor of Arts from The University Of The South in 1998, graduating summa cum laude. He earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2001. He also attended Taipei American School, completing that program in 1994 before beginning his higher education.

Justin is admitted to practice in Tennessee. He is also admitted before the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Tennessee. His court admissions also include the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, giving him experience in state and federal matters.

Justin has advised health care companies on Stark and Anti-Kickback issues, HIPAA business associate agreements, licensure matters, and professional board proceedings. He has also represented buyers and sellers in health care transactions, including the sale of a home health agency, clinics, hospitals, dental practices, and veterinary practices.

Justin also represents clients in commercial, employment, regulatory, criminal, and government investigation matters. His work has included False Claims Act investigations, criminal defense, unpaid commission claims, contract disputes, open meetings law issues, noncompetition matters, wage and hour claims, and appeals involving felony convictions and prosecutorial misconduct.

Before entering legal practice, W. Justin Adams served as a law clerk to the Honorable Andrew J. Kleinfeld of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Fairbanks, Alaska. Today, he uses broad litigation, business, health care, and employment experience to guide clients through legal challenges.
