Lee Dickinson

Lee Dickinson is the founder of Dickinson Law, P.C., focusing on business, corporate, and transactional matters with particular expertise in intellectual property and franchising. He represents a wide range of clients, from start-ups and non-profits to established restaurant chains and national retailers. Dickinson delivers strategic, practical counsel aimed at helping businesses achieve their goals while addressing complex legal requirements.

Dickinson earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University and his B.A., summa cum laude, in English (Professional Writing) from the University of Memphis. His strong academic background complements his legal and business acumen, allowing him to navigate intricate contractual, regulatory, and intellectual property matters with precision.

Dickinson assists clients with contract negotiation and drafting, trademark selection and protection, business formation, and preparation of Franchise Disclosure Documents. His work also includes advising on compliance issues involving antitrust, deceptive trade practices, data privacy, social media, sweepstakes and promotions, liquor law, product labeling, and pricing accuracy. He works with both small family-owned operations and large, publicly traded corporations.

Before establishing his firm, Dickinson served as in-house counsel for Dollar General Corporation, a national retailer with over 16,000 locations. He also taught at Vanderbilt University Law School in both the J.D. and LL.M. programs, as well as at the University of Wyoming College of Law, sharing his knowledge of business, corporate, and franchise law with future legal professionals.

In addition to his legal practice, Lee Dickinson is Of Counsel to Hathaway & Kunz, LLP, a leading Cheyenne law firm. Active in the legal community, he is a member of multiple bar associations and professional groups and serves on the board of Black Dog Animal Rescue.
