Laurence A. Greenberg has served as the Managing Partner of Lerner Greenberg Stemer LLP since 1990, focusing his distinguished career on intellectual property law. He advises clients, mentors colleagues, and handles complex matters involving patent prosecution, litigation, and dispute resolution across a broad range of industries and technologies.
Mr. Greenberg earned his Bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College in 1971 and his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 1981. Before entering law, he worked in business, developing the analytical and strategic skills that continue to define his practice. His physics background further enhances his ability to understand intricate technical inventions and innovations central to patent law.
Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982, Mr. Greenberg is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His work spans electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering fields, including semiconductor components, computer systems, communications, automotive electronics, and medical devices.
Laurence A. Greenberg is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law and holds an AV® Peer Review Rating, the highest rating for legal excellence and ethics. He frequently lectures on the Patent Cooperation Treaty and developments in U.S. patent and trademark law, educating attorneys, inventors, and business professionals domestically and abroad.
