Lauren A. Anderson

Lauren A. Anderson is a partner in the Houston office of Latham & Watkins LLP and Global Vice Chair of its Energy & Infrastructure Industry Group. She advises energy and infrastructure companies, private equity sponsors, and investors on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, and general corporate matters. Her work spans oil and gas, renewable energy, and carbon capture projects, helping clients structure transactions and advance business objectives.

Anderson earned her J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 2011, graduating summa cum laude and receiving membership in the Order of the Coif. She received a B.A. from Rhodes College in 2007, graduating cum laude. Her academic training supports a practice that requires close analysis of corporate structures, commercial agreements, transaction risks, and regulatory considerations across different parts of the energy industry.

Anderson has advised on significant transactions involving energy development and investment. Her experience includes work for Chevron on carbon capture projects in California and the Gulf Coast, and for Energy Capital Partners on renewable fuels and energy-related acquisitions. She has also advised HIF Global on capital raises supporting e-fuels projects. Earlier in her career, she practiced at Vinson & Elkins, developing a foundation in complex energy transactions.

Anderson was recognized by Chambers USA 2026 for private equity buyouts and by The Legal 500 US 2026 for energy transactions. Her other honors include The Deal’s Top Women in Dealmaking recognition in 2023 and a Law360 Energy Rising Star designation in 2022. Through her leadership and transaction work, Lauren A.
