Laura Ingersol, Ph.D., is a registered patent attorney at Peacock Law P.C., where she practices across all areas of intellectual property law. With a strong foundation in the life sciences and chemistry, she provides clients with strategic legal counsel in patent prosecution, trademarks, and IP portfolio management. Ingersol’s deep scientific knowledge allows her to support inventors and innovators in a wide range of fields, including molecular biology, electronics, and immunology.

Ingersol earned her J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2024. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry (2021) and an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences (2014) from the University of New Mexico, and a dual B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (2010). She is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and is a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Before beginning her legal career, Ingersol was actively involved in academic research, earning awards such as the Berthron Fellowship in Biology, the Hillard Smith/Dow Chemical Graduate Assistantship, and an Award for Excellence in Biochemistry. Her work has covered diverse scientific areas such as inorganic and organic chemistry, molecular electronics, and biomedical applications. She joined Peacock Law P.C. in 2022 while completing her legal studies.
