Liz Natal Tonigan

Liz Natal Tonigan is a Senior Associate at Blackgarden Law, where she focuses her practice on intellectual property and entertainment law. With a strong background in litigation and rights protection, she assists clients with trademark and copyright disputes, contract negotiations, and royalty issues across creative and commercial industries.

Liz earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2015 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Vanderbilt University, completed in 2011. Her academic training provides a well-rounded foundation for navigating complex legal and regulatory issues in media, business, and the arts.

Before joining Blackgarden Law, Liz worked as a litigator at a Nashville-based firm, handling high-profile intellectual property and entertainment cases across the U.S. Her national case experience has sharpened her ability to advocate in both federal courtrooms and administrative proceedings.

Liz is admitted to practice in New Mexico and Tennessee, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Mexico and the Middle District of Tennessee. She is actively involved in the legal community and currently serves on the Board of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico.
