Larry Church

Larry Church is a founding partner of Church, Langdon, Lopp and Banet Law in New Albany and a civil trial lawyer with more than three decades of experience. His litigation work has included business disputes, personal injury, real estate matters, and other civil cases. In recent years, he has concentrated heavily on alternative dispute resolution and mediation, helping parties pursue practical resolutions outside continued litigation.

Church earned a B.A. in English from Kent State University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He later received a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and served on the Moot Court Executive Board. His early career began as a public defender before he moved into regional private practice and developed a broad civil litigation background in Indiana and Kentucky.

Church has represented clients in disputes ranging from relatively small claims to multimillion-dollar matters. His civil practice has covered business, personal injury, real estate, premises liability, product liability, insurance coverage, and other areas. He has mediated thousands of civil disputes and uses trial experience to help parties assess litigation risks, settlement positions, and cost-effective options for resolving contested matters.

Larry Church is licensed in Indiana and Kentucky and has an inactive Ohio license. He is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and has served as chair of the Louisville Bar Association’s ADR Section. His professional memberships also include Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, and Floyd County bar organizations. His practice combines deep trial experience with a current emphasis on mediation and dispute resolution.
