Laurie Goetz Kemp

Laurie Goetz Kemp is of counsel at Church, Langdon, Lopp, Banet Law and focuses her practice on representing employers in employment and human-resources matters. She advises on discipline, terminations, investigations, policy review, and other day-to-day workplace issues. She also develops and conducts training on retaliation, harassment, the ADA, FMLA, and wage-and-hour requirements for employers managing workforce risks and compliance obligations.

Kemp completed undergraduate study at Miami University and earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. Her academic background supports a practice combining preventive employment counseling, administrative responses, contract work, and litigation. That training complements her experience advising employers on workplace rules, employee relations, compliance obligations, investigations, and disputes in state and federal courts across Indiana and Kentucky.

Kemp responds to EEOC, Indiana Civil Rights Commission, and Kentucky Commission on Human Rights charges, along with unemployment matters, Department of Labor audits, and Indiana and Kentucky OSHA citations or investigations. Her litigation work includes discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation claims. She also drafts, negotiates, and enforces employment contracts, including noncompetition and nonsolicitation provisions and other restrictive covenants.

Laurie Goetz Kemp practices in state and federal courts in Indiana and Kentucky and has been active in human-resources and professional organizations.
