About

Larissa Lee is a partner at Mayer Brown in Salt Lake City whose practice focuses on technology, cybersecurity and data privacy, and artificial intelligence. She advises companies on emerging laws and regulations affecting technology businesses, including online safety for minors, age verification, parental consent and tools, privacy, content moderation, advertising, e-commerce, and AI. Her work combines regulatory counseling with litigation and dispute strategy when new technology rules create legal risk.

Larissa earned a J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as executive articles editor of the Utah Law Review. She earned an M.B.A. and a B.S. from Boise State University. Her combined legal and business education supports work involving regulatory change, product operations, risk assessment, and technology-focused compliance programs.

Larissa helps clients follow proposed legislation and new regulatory requirements through the full lifecycle of a legal issue. Her work includes bill tracking, legal analysis, risk and compliance planning, litigation strategy, representation in disputes, and appeals. Before private practice, she clerked for Judge Carolyn B. McHugh of the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and Justice Christine M. Durham of the Utah Supreme Court.

Larissa Lee works at the intersection of technology regulation and litigation. Her current practice addresses cybersecurity and privacy, artificial intelligence, commercial litigation, and broader technology, media, and telecommunications issues. She helps companies interpret changing legal requirements and evaluate how rules affecting online services, data practices, advertising, and automated systems interact with business operations, enforcement exposure, and potential court challenges.
