Lake Perriguey

Lake Perriguey is the owner of Law Works LLC in Portland, Oregon, where he represents individuals and businesses across civil rights, discrimination, employment, criminal defense, family law, personal injury, wage claims, and business matters. Perriguey handles claims against government and private entities, workplace disputes, constitutional issues, and cases involving injuries or alleged discrimination. His practice combines litigation with practical counseling for clients facing personal, employment, and business-related legal problems.

Perriguey earned his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Northwestern Law School in 1998 and a B.A. from St. John’s College in 1991. His legal education provided a foundation for a practice that often involves constitutional questions, civil rights protections, employment disputes, and complex litigation. Since beginning practice, he has developed experience in both state and federal courts, applying legal research, advocacy, and problem-solving skills to matters that may involve novel or evolving legal issues.

Perriguey has handled significant civil rights and discrimination matters, including Geiger v. Kitzhaber, a federal challenge that helped establish marriage equality in Oregon. His representative cases also include discrimination claims involving gender and sexual orientation, constitutional free speech issues, trademark and copyright disputes, and claims arising from alleged governmental misconduct. Through these matters, he has worked on cases involving developing areas of law while pursuing remedies for individuals, families, and businesses.

Lake Perriguey has received the Spirit of Solomon Award, Basic Rights Oregon’s Fighting Spirit Award, the Oregon Gay and Lesbian Law Association’s Award of Merit, and the Oregon State Bar President’s Public Service Award. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and has participated in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and Gus J. Solomon American Inn of Court.
