L. Rush Hunt

L. Rush Hunt is the founding and managing partner of HUNT & GREENE PSC in Madisonville, Kentucky. He has practiced law for more than forty years in his hometown. His work focuses on estate planning, asset protection planning, tax law, and business law for families, individuals, and businesses.

Rush earned his B.S. in accounting from Murray State University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law. He also earned his Ph.D. in public law at Southern Illinois University. This education supports his work in estate planning, tax matters, business law, and client guidance.

Rush brings more than legal knowledge to his planning work. He also has prior experience as a certified financial planner. He previously worked as a vice president of trust services at Citizens Bank of Kentucky, where he supervised trust administration and investments. This background helps him understand client needs.

Rush currently devotes his practice to estate planning, asset protection planning, tax law, and business law. He helps clients plan for the future, protect assets, and address legal questions tied to families and companies. His work is shaped by decades of practice in the Madisonville community and beyond.

Rush is the author of Kentucky Wills and Trusts. He has also written four American Bar Association publications: A Lawyer’s Guide to Estate Planning, Financial Planning for You and Your Clients, Understanding Elder Law, and Estate Planning Forms. These works reflect his focus on clear planning and practical legal guidance.
