Kyle Irving Fraser is an American lawyer and reality television personality known for winning the reality competition series Survivor 48. He gained national attention for his strategic gameplay and social approach, which helped him navigate complex alliances and challenges throughout the season.
Kyle earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hampden–Sydney College in 2016, where he also served as captain of the school’s lacrosse team. He later attended the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a senior editor for the Michigan Law Review and earned recognition in the school’s moot court competition.
Before entering the legal field, Kyle worked in education. He taught high school English, coached athletics, and served as a dorm parent at Christ School in Asheville, North Carolina. He also taught GED and humanities courses at a juvenile detention center in Maryland, working with students in structured learning environments.
After graduating from law school, Kyle clerked for the Honorable R. Guy Cole Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He later worked as an associate at the New York law firm Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello PC before moving into the music industry as a music attorney with Warner Music Group.
Kyle’s appearance on Survivor 48 marked a turning point in his public profile. His gameplay emphasized building relationships and carefully managing alliances. He ultimately won the season with a 5–2–1 jury vote after explaining his strategic decisions and leadership during the final tribal council.
Kyle Irving Fraser later returned to compete on Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, an all-returnee season celebrating the show’s anniversary.
