Kristine Jean Zajac is the founder and sole practitioner of Zajac Law Firm, providing compassionate and strategic family law representation to clients throughout Minneapolis and the Twin Cities since 2000. With over two decades of legal experience, she is known for her bilingual approach and commitment to serving diverse communities, including Minnesota’s Spanish-speaking population through her signature service motto: Mente Legal, Corazón Latino®.
Zajac focuses her practice exclusively on family law, including divorce, child custody, and child support matters. She has been admitted to the Minnesota State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota since 1998. Her client-first approach and deep knowledge of family law have earned her numerous accolades, including the Avvo Clients’ Choice Award in 2018 and 2019 and a 10.0 Avvo Rating as a Top Attorney.
A cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, Zajac was awarded a merit-based scholarship for ranking in the top 10% of her class after the first year. During law school, she served as President of the Hispanic Law Student Association. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Minnesota, where she graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Kristine Jean Zajac has held influential roles, including as a Board Member of the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association and as an appointed member and legislative subcommittee chair on the Sentencing Guidelines Commission Board. She also served as a judicial law clerk and worked in both Hennepin and Ramsey County Attorneys’ Offices before entering private practice.
