About
Kimberly N. Martin is a partner and co-founder of Martin & Martin, LLP in Atlanta. She represents employees and a select number of small businesses in employment and wage and hour matters. Her practice includes discrimination, sexual harassment, Family Medical Leave Act claims, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage disputes, severance negotiations, restrictive covenants, and related workplace issues. Earlier employer-side experience gives her a detailed understanding of how companies investigate, defend, and resolve employment disputes.
Martin earned a J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1996 with honors and a B.S. from the University of Florida in 1992. She received the Book Award for earning the highest grade in her employment law class. That academic distinction helped establish an employment-law focus that continued through her career and now supports work involving federal workplace protections, wage requirements, employment agreements, and contested personnel decisions.
Martin previously worked at large national and international law firms representing employers in EEOC matters, arbitration, and federal litigation. Her experience covered sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, FMLA disputes, and Fair Labor Standards Act wage claims involving hundreds of employees. She advised corporate leaders on investigations, classification audits, restrictive covenants, nondisclosure agreements, severance agreements, disability accommodations, transactional due diligence, and workplace policies before shifting much of her practice to employee representation.
Kimberly N. Martin was named a National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Trial Lawyer in Georgia for 2023. Her career includes substantial experience representing employers, employees, and select small businesses across employment and wage disputes. She handles matters involving administrative agencies, mediation, arbitration, litigation, severance negotiations, restrictive covenants, and unpaid wage claims, bringing knowledge of employer-side strategy to her advocacy for workers and small-business clients.
