Kevin T. Duncan is a founding partner at Duncan Galloway Greenwald PLLC and a registered U.S. patent attorney with more than 25 years of experience in intellectual property law. He focuses his practice on patent prosecution and litigation, IP licensing, product clearance, and complex intellectual property disputes across a wide range of industries and technologies.
Kevin earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, an M.E.E. from the Speed Scientific School, and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Indiana, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Kevin represents clients in patent matters involving electronics, software, communications systems, semiconductors, DSPs, and e-commerce, as well as mechanical inventions such as medical devices, compressor technologies, and vapor recovery systems. His legal counsel spans every stage of the IP lifecycle—from patent drafting and prosecution to courtroom litigation, licensing negotiations, and due diligence for asset transactions.
Kevin has successfully litigated patent and trademark cases in federal courts, including jury trials, Markman hearings, and preliminary injunction proceedings. His experience also includes copyright litigation, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and deceptive trade practices. He regularly counsels clients on validity, infringement, and enforcement issues, and he has negotiated numerous high-value licensing and settlement agreements.
Prior to founding DGG Law, Kevin practiced at respected firms including Hunton & Williams and Baker & Daniels. He is a former president of the Patent Lawyers Club of Washington, D.C., and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.
