Kevin Reed is a Member at Reed, Claymon, Meeker, Krienke & Spurck, PLLC, where he represents hospitals and healthcare systems in regulatory compliance, business transactions, and medical staff matters. With more than four decades of experience, Kevin is Board Certified in both Health Law and Administrative Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His practice centers on helping healthcare organizations navigate legal, operational, and governance challenges with precision and care.
Kevin earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Salem College in West Virginia. His strong academic foundation, paired with extensive professional experience, has established him as a trusted advisor to hospitals, physicians, and healthcare entities throughout Texas. He provides strategic counsel on healthcare transactions, compliance programs, and administrative regulations that shape hospital operations statewide.
Throughout his career, Kevin has represented hospitals in acquisitions, facility financing, leasing, and the formation of new hospital districts. As General Counsel for the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals (TORCH) for over 30 years, he has advised member hospitals on every aspect of their operations. His experience includes peer review proceedings, physician credentialing, and mediation in medical staff matters, ensuring compliance and fairness across healthcare systems.
Kevin Reed’s excellence has been recognized with an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers for over 20 consecutive years. A past Chair of the State Bar of Texas Health Law Section, he continues to serve on multiple health law commissions.
