Kevin O’Grady

Kevin O’Grady is a seasoned criminal defense and DUI attorney based in Honolulu, Hawaii. With more than 25 years of legal experience, he has built a reputation for professionalism, dedication, and results-driven advocacy. His practice focuses on DUI defense, criminal cases, civil rights, and Second Amendment litigation. O’Grady earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 1990, followed by an M.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Chaminade University in Honolulu. In 1997, he earned his J.D., cum laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in New York. This strong educational background provided the legal and analytical foundation for a career dedicated to trial work and defense advocacy.

O’Grady’s career includes service as a deputy prosecutor, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army. As a military prosecutor, he served as both Trial Counsel and Senior Trial Counsel, handling cases across the country and in Hawaii. Drawing on that experience, he has successfully defended hundreds of DUI cases, achieving a 97.5% win rate in DUI/OVUII matters. He also regularly handles appeals, assault cases, and firearms-related litigation.

Recognized nationally, Kevin O’Grady serves as State Delegate and Faculty Member of the National College for DUI Defense. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Hawaii Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Council of Second Amendment Lawyers.
