Kevin Luibrand

Kevin Luibrand has built a reputation for handling complex legal matters in New York State for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, he has represented individuals, businesses, and professionals facing high-stakes legal challenges where the outcome could have a lasting impact. His practice covers a broad range of matters, including civil rights claims, freedom of speech issues, serious personal injury cases, criminal charges, business disputes, false arrest claims, defamation matters, and litigation arising from plane crashes. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York, College at Oswego in 1980. He later received a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University in 1983. This educational foundation helped prepare him for a legal career that has spanned more than three decades and involved complex litigation in both state and federal courts.

Kevin has earned recognition for work that has attracted attention from both legal and mainstream media outlets. His cases and legal advocacy have been discussed in national legal publications as well as prominent news organizations, including CNN, PBS, MSNBC, and The New York Times. This level of exposure reflects involvement in matters that have carried substantial legal and public importance. Kevin has appeared before a wide range of courts at both the state and federal levels. His courtroom experience includes matters presented before the N.Y. State Supreme Court, the N.Y. State Appellate Division, Third Dept., and the N.Y. State Court of Appeals, which is New York State’s highest court. He has also handled cases in United States District Courts in the Northern District of New York, the District of North Carolina, and the Western District of Massachusetts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. In addition, he has represented clients in local county, town, and city courts throughout New York and before the United States Court of Military Appeals.

Kevin Luibrand previously worked as a Partner at Tobin & Dempf, LLP and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. His legal service also included work as a JAG Corps Attorney at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Admitted to practice in New York, Florida, and several federal district courts, he has received an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell and the New York State Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award in 1994.
