Kevin L. Jamison

Kevin L. Jamison is a sole practitioner whose practice focuses on criminal defense, traffic law, family law, immigration, personal injury, employment litigation, workers’ compensation, weapons and self-defense law, and estate planning. He represents individuals in a broad range of legal matters, providing guidance in both litigation and legal planning. In addition to his legal practice, he is recognized for his work as an educator and author on firearms and self-defense law.

Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri in 1975 before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 1983. His legal education laid the foundation for a career spanning criminal defense, constitutional issues, and civil litigation. Kevin has also authored numerous publications on firearms and self-defense law, including Missouri Weapons and Self-Defense Law, and has written articles for the Journal of the Missouri Bar and Concealed Carry Magazine.

Kevin was admitted to the Missouri Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri in 1983. Before entering private practice, he served in the United States Army from 1976 to 1980. He has taught courses in criminal law, law and society, and law and terrorism at Avila College, moderated immigration law programs for the Missouri Bar, and presented Continuing Legal Education seminars on firearms law. His professional affiliations include the Missouri Bar Association, the Clay County Bar Association, the National Rifle Association, the Second Amendment Foundation, the Special Forces Association, and the Western Missouri Shooters Alliance, where he has held multiple leadership roles.
