Kevin D. Judd

Kevin D. Judd, Esq. is a respected attorney licensed in Washington, D.C., New York, and Maryland federal courts, focusing his practice on consumer bankruptcy and nonprofit law. He is also an experienced parliamentarian and arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). For over three decades, Judd has served clients with professionalism and deep legal insight.

Judd earned his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 1991 and holds a B.S. from Kean University, earned in 1985.

Judd is the past president of the National Bar Association, where he has served for over 20 years, helping lead a network of more than 66,000 legal professionals. He has also led or held leadership roles in the Washington Bar Association, Bar Association of the District of Columbia, Federal Bar Association (D.C. Chapter), and the Howard University Law Alumni Association.

A major focus of Judd’s career has been improving the operations and infrastructure of legal institutions. He chaired the Bankruptcy Law Section of both the NBA and the D.C. Bar and has served as a House of Delegates member of the American Bar Association and on its Standing Committee on Audit.

Judd also holds national and international influence. He helped lead a fact-finding mission to the Dominican Republic, negotiated a historic agreement with the Panamanian Bar, and co-chaired the Racism in Sports Conference in London.

Kevin D. Judd is a recognized expert on organizational governance and has served on advisory boards for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in D.C. and as a complaint examiner for the Office of Police Complaints. Judd’s career reflects a commitment to justice, equity, and leadership across the legal field—locally, nationally, and globally.
