About

Keriann Roman is an attorney at Drummond Woodsum in Manchester and a member of the firm’s New Hampshire Municipal Group and Land Use and Conservation Group. She advises municipalities, village districts, boards, committees, and commissions on land use, telecommunications, governance, town meetings, finance, code enforcement, tax abatements, road law, conservation, ordinance drafting, water quality, Right to Know Law matters, and municipal administration.

Roman earned a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2006 and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2002. She completed judicial clerkships with Judge Joseph DiClerico Jr. of the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire and Justice Gary E. Hicks of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. That training supports detailed statutory, procedural, and appellate analysis in municipal matters.

Roman draws on prior civil litigation experience when handling municipal disputes. She has tried code enforcement matters and complex tax abatement cases and also works proactively with municipal managers and administrators to reduce the risk of litigation. Her representative experience includes a favorable New Hampshire Supreme Court decision in Mellin v. Northern Security Insurance Co. She also advises municipalities on power purchase agreements and siting solar arrays on municipal property.

Keriann Roman has received New England Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition in land use, civil litigation, municipal, and appellate categories and was recognized by Best Lawyers USA for Land Use and Zoning Law and Litigation – Municipal in 2026. She has served in municipal public roles, including as a selectman and planning board member, and has lectured throughout New Hampshire on land use and local government issues.
