Kent Walker

Kent Walker is the founder of Walker Estate Planning and represents families and business owners in estate and succession planning. His practice includes asset protection, wealth preservation and transfer, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, probate, estate administration, trust administration, business succession planning, and tax-focused strategies. He works with business entities and foreign citizens whose Georgia estate plans require attention to cross-border or tax considerations.

Walker earned a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the Emory International Law Review and completed the Transactional Law Certificate. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.B.A. with an International Business Finance concentration from the University of Georgia. His legal and financial education supports a practice involving trusts, taxation, business ownership, succession, and complex estate structures.

Walker advises clients on revocable trusts, pour-over wills, buy-sell agreements, estate tax planning, income tax planning, estate and trust administration, and probate. He forms corporations, limited liability companies, family limited partnerships, and foundations and advises certain tax-exempt and business clients on transactions and compliance. Before practicing law, he worked in finance and investment roles, including foreign exchange trading, portfolio strategy, and alternative investments for high-net-worth clients.

Kent Walker is admitted to practice in Georgia and is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of Georgia. His practice combines estate planning, tax considerations, business succession, probate administration, and financial experience. He works with individuals, families, business owners, and international clients on legal structures designed to preserve assets, transfer wealth, manage estates, and support long-term family and business objectives.
