Kenneth Ratley is a civil rights lawyer with a broad legal background and licensure in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. He has spent over a decade handling a wide range of legal matters, including criminal law, employment disputes, civil rights violations, and personal injury cases. His practical, solution-oriented approach has made him a trusted legal resource across multiple jurisdictions.

Kenneth began his academic career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed his undergraduate education. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Kenneth was actively involved in the First Amendment Law Review, Teen Court, and the Honor Court—experiences that sharpened his understanding of both legal theory and courtroom practice.

Kenneth’s career includes litigation and advisory roles in both the private and public sectors. He practiced law in North Carolina, focusing on criminal defense, business formation, trademark, employment and labor law, and civil litigation. Kenneth later served as a contract attorney for Clifford Chance, LLP and Bank of America in New York, working on complex civil business litigation. He also advocated for victims of the BP Deep Horizon Oil Spill.

Kenneth returned to Georgia to serve as an Assistant Solicitor General, where he built a strong track record prosecuting misdemeanor cases, including complex DUI trials. Over the course of his career, he has been honored as one of America’s Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys, America’s Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys, and National Top 100 Black Lawyers. With extensive trial experience in both misdemeanor and felony cases, Kenneth is known for his professionalism, consistent courtroom success, and unwavering integrity.
