Katie K. Leonard

Katie K. Leonard, Esq., is the founder and managing partner of The Leonard Firm, where she has devoted her career exclusively to family law. For over 15 years, she has represented clients in divorce, child custody, alimony, property division, and related domestic relations matters. Katie approaches each case with a goal-driven strategy, ensuring clients are guided through important decisions that can significantly affect their futures.

Katie earned her J.D. from the University of Memphis and graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Her academic background laid the foundation for a career in which she has appeared before more than 50 judges in 18 counties across Georgia. She is also trained as a Guardian ad Litem and has extensive first-chair trial experience in high-asset divorce and complex child custody cases.

In addition to litigation, Katie has played an active role in professional leadership. She serves on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia and the Board of Trustees for the Cobb County Bar Association. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a graduate of Leadership Cobb. Earlier in her career, she co-chaired the State Bar’s Young Lawyers Division Family Law Committee and led the Cobb County Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Section.

Katie K. Leonard’s service extends into her community through pro bono legal work and charitable initiatives. She has volunteered with Legal Aid’s Justice Jam, the State Bar’s Veteran’s Affairs clinic, and co-founded the Cobb Bar Association’s Hunger Games food drive. Her commitment to both the legal profession and public service has earned recognition, including Super Lawyers honors and the Cobb Bar Association’s Ross Adams Younger Lawyer Award.
