In addition to her legal work, Kathryn is deeply committed to child welfare. She has served as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in King County Juvenile Dependency Court and actively supports New Beginnings, a Seattle-based organization that supports domestic violence survivors. She also co-authored a 2023 chapter on insurance issues in family law for the Washington State Family Law Handbook.
