Cheryl Foster Smith

Cheryl Foster Smith is an Equity Shareholder at Robinson, Waters & O’Dorisio, P.C., where she leads a focused practice in domestic relations and family law. With deep experience handling complex divorce and custody matters, Ms. Smith provides strong legal representation while remaining attentive to each client’s individual goals and concerns. Ms. Smith holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Lehigh University. She earned her J.D. from New York Law School, where she was on the Dean’s List and earned a public service certificate.

Ms. Smith has practiced family law in both Colorado and New York. Before joining Robinson, Waters & O’Dorisio, P.C., she gained valuable experience at boutique law firms in New York City. Her legal work includes divorce, legal separation, parenting time (custody), child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and modifications of court orders. She is also experienced in wealth and succession matters tied to marital law.

Known for her strong litigation skills, Ms. Smith handles complex matrimonial disputes when court involvement is needed. At the same time, she makes every effort to resolve cases amicably whenever possible. Her goal is always to protect her client’s best interests, whether through negotiation or litigation.
