Kate received her Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chapman University. Kate Hartman was admitted to the California State Bar in 2002. Her credentials also include admissions to the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California. She has been granted Pro Hac Vice status in both Minnesota and Georgia.

Ferguson at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she gained valuable insight into judicial reasoning and complex issue evaluation.
