Kathleen Arnold

Kathleen Arnold is an attorney in Kenai who joined Holmes Weddle & Barcott in 2025. Her practice focuses on general civil litigation, including commercial disputes, construction claims, debt collection, and insurance defense. She has more than a decade of experience across civil matters and prosecution. She brings courtroom experience to disagreements affecting businesses and individuals, with attention to how legal procedures, documents, and case strategy influence the available options.

Kathleen earned a B.A. in Philosophy and English from Colorado State University in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2011. Her legal studies included an emphasis on environmental law, along with internships and clinical work involving public-interest and civil litigation matters. This training helped prepare her for a career spanning private practice, government prosecution, and legal services leadership.

Kathleen began her legal career working on probate and estate planning. She later served as a prosecutor in Idaho, handling criminal and civil matters, trying cases before juries and judges, and presenting arguments to the Idaho Supreme Court. She subsequently became managing attorney for a regional legal aid office, supervising litigation strategy and matters involving family law, housing, elder law, guardianships, and estate planning. These roles exposed her to a wide range of disputes.

Kathleen Arnold is admitted to practice in Idaho state courts. Her previous trial, appellate, and legal aid experience informs her approach to civil litigation in Alaska. She has managed attorneys and staff, developed case strategy, and worked directly with people navigating difficult legal problems. Her current focus is on resolving business and civil disputes through careful assessment of the facts, applicable law, and the client’s objectives. Her legal aid leadership also involved supervising a range of civil matters.
