Karen C. Bifferato is a Wilmington, Delaware bankruptcy attorney and partner who represents creditors and other parties in commercial insolvency matters. She handles Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases for landlords, vendors, trustees, successor corporations, purchasers, employees, shareholders, directors, and officers. Her practice includes bankruptcy litigation, creditors’ rights, assignments for the benefit of creditors, receiverships, collection matters, and Delaware corporate opinion work.

Bifferato earned her J.D. from the College of William and Mary’s Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1994. She served on the William and Mary Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from North Carolina State University in 1991. Her education supports detailed legal analysis, persuasive writing, and careful advice on bankruptcy, corporate, and transactional matters.

Bifferato represents clients in bankruptcy courts throughout the country and before the US District Court for the District of Delaware and the Third Circuit.
