Kalen F. Peterson

Kalen F. Peterson is an attorney with Dvorak Law Group and a member of the firm’s business law and corporate practice group. She focuses principally on mergers and acquisitions and business tax matters and also works in banking and finance, real estate, and commercial contracting. She advises closely held businesses, lenders, borrowers, and other clients on transactions that require careful structuring, negotiation, documentation, financing, and tax planning.

Kalen earned a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2021 and completed the Business Transactions Program of Concentrated Study. She received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2018. Her legal education in business transactions supports work involving deal structure, tax consequences, commercial agreements, financing arrangements, and the legal documentation needed to move transactions from negotiation through closing.

Kalen has assisted closely held businesses with purchases, sales, redemptions, and corporate reorganizations. She advises on tax-efficient approaches for both corporate and pass-through entity matters and supports lenders and borrowers in commercial lending and finance transactions.
