William J. Hale

William J. Hale is the Sioux City Managing Partner of Goosmann Law and practices in business and intellectual property litigation. William represents businesses, CEOs, owners, executives, and insurance clients when disputes involve confidential information, commercial rights, or alleged wrongdoing. His services include Litigation and Trial Law and Corporate and Business Law, with a courtroom-focused approach to protecting client interests in complex contested matters.

William earned his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 2016, graduating summa cum laude. He received the Highest Triennial Average Award, participated on the Trial Team, made the Dean’s Honor Roll in every semester, received a Dean’s Academic Scholarship, and earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. He also attended Brigham Young University and was named to the Dean’s List.

Before law school, Hale spent seven years working in the security industry, including investigating and responding to difficult complaints. That experience informs his approach to fact development, conflict, and dispute resolution. In practice, he handles business and intellectual property litigation and also works with major insurance companies to protect insureds’ interests and pursue responsibility from parties alleged to have caused loss or harm.

William J. Hale is admitted in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota and in several federal district courts. He combines litigation training, investigative experience, and business-law knowledge to help clients address high-stakes disputes.
