Kaitlin Pimentel

Kaitlin Pimentel is a Washington criminal defense attorney who has defended clients in criminal matters since 2010. Her work includes misdemeanor cases, DUI charges, domestic violence assault matters, and complex litigation. She began in public defense and built experience representing clients in several Washington courts. She helps clients understand charges, review evidence, protect rights, and prepare for hearings, negotiations, or trial with focused advocacy and clear communication through every stage.

Kaitlin earned her J.D. from Gonzaga School of Law. She also earned her B.A., cum laude, from Seattle University. Her education supports legal research, writing, courtroom preparation, and client counseling. She uses that foundation to evaluate facts, explain procedures, identify defenses, and prepare clients for decisions that may affect freedom, record, employment, and family stability during criminal proceedings.

Kaitlin began her career with the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel, where she defended clients in misdemeanor matters involving domestic violence, impaired driving, and related allegations. She later served as a public defender for Shoreline, Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, and Burien. This experience gave her practical courtroom knowledge, strong trial skills, and a clear understanding of how local courts handle criminal cases and client needs and risks under pressure.

Kaitlin Pimentel is admitted to practice in Washington and is a member of the Washington Defender Association and WSBA Criminal Law Section. Her work reflects steady preparation, aggressive advocacy, and attention to each client’s priorities.
