Kyle Ehlers

Kyle Ehlers is a criminal defense attorney at Puget Law Group. He focuses on protecting the rights of clients facing criminal charges in Washington. His legal work is shaped by strong advocacy, courtroom experience, and a commitment to helping people through difficult and stressful legal situations.

Kyle earned his undergraduate degree in Law, Economics, and Public Policy from the University of Washington, Bothell. He later pursued his Juris Doctor at the American University Washington College of Law. His education helped build the legal and advocacy skills that support his criminal defense practice today.

Before becoming an attorney, Kyle worked as a case manager at Friends of Youth. In that role, he advocated for unhoused children in the King County Metro Area. His experiences working with vulnerable individuals strengthened his interest in criminal defense and helping people facing serious challenges.

During law school, Kyle interned with Baltimore City’s Youthful Defendant Unit. He represented children charged as adults before later working with the Washington D.C. Public Defender Service. These experiences helped him develop strong advocacy skills and taught him how to manage client needs in complex criminal matters.

After graduating near the top of his class, Kyle joined the King County Department of Public Defense. He represented clients in cases ranging from misdemeanors to complex violent felonies. His work included courtroom litigation, negotiations with prosecutors, and helping clients understand the legal process during stressful situations.

Kyle Ehlers has spent his legal career defending client rights in criminal cases. He brings public defense experience, calm communication, and strong advocacy to Puget Law Group. His approach focuses on helping clients navigate criminal matters while providing steady guidance and dedicated representation throughout each stage of the case.
