John O’Keefe, Jr.

John O’Keefe, Jr. is a member of Metz Lewis Brodman Must O’Keefe LLC and co-chairs the firm’s banking group. With decades of experience, he represents financial institutions, businesses, and individuals in complex commercial disputes. His practice spans banking litigation, creditor’s rights, loan workouts, and business litigation. John’s work focuses on protecting clients’ financial interests through strategic planning, strong advocacy, and careful attention to the details that drive successful outcomes.

John earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, where he contributed to the Duquesne Law Review. He also holds a B.S., magna cum laude, in Business Administration and Finance from LaSalle University. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and numerous federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, several U.S. Courts of Appeals, and multiple U.S. District Courts across the country.

John’s litigation skills cover a wide range of commercial matters, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, real estate conflicts, bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, lender liability, and employment-related business issues. He has represented national and regional banks in high-stakes cases, including multimillion-dollar lender liability suits, insolvency proceedings, and complex loan recoveries.
