Justin Lopez

Justin Lopez focuses his practice at Cozmyk Law, LLC on bankruptcy law while bringing experience across civil litigation, domestic relations, criminal law, real estate, and probate matters. Justin earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University and his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the same university. He is admitted to the Ohio State Bar and the US District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. During law school, he interned with local firms before beginning his career in private practice, where he gained experience in litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, probate, and other legal matters.

Justin previously worked with Lopez, Severt, Pratt Co. L.P.A., where he practiced under his father, Jose M. Lopez, and gained exposure to criminal defense and civil matters. He later worked with Elsass, Wallace, Evans & Co. L.P.A. in Sidney, Ohio. There, he obtained a title insurance license, developed further experience in real estate law, and handled matters on behalf of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office as well during his tenure.

Justin Lopez is a member of the Miami County Bar Association, Dayton Bar Association, and American Bankruptcy Law Forum. His practice reflects experience handling bankruptcy matters alongside real estate and other civil concerns that may affect clients’ financial and legal positions. He combines knowledge developed across multiple practice settings with practical guidance for clients facing debt, property, litigation, probate, or related issues requiring focused representation in Ohio courts and proceedings.
