Julissa Arce

Julissa Arce is an associate at Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C. in Providence, Rhode Island. Her practice focuses on real estate development and land use matters for developers and property owners. She assists with permit applications, zoning, variances, special use permits, and matters before municipal boards and commissions. Her work also covers administrative and judicial appeals involving land use decisions, allowing her to address both approval processes and related disputes.

Julissa earned a B.S. in Business Law, magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University in 2021 through its 3+3 Business Law Program. She then received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2023. Her combined business and legal education supports her work reviewing development rules, preparing permit applications, and addressing the statutory requirements governing real estate and land use matters.

Julissa assists property owners and developers throughout the permitting process, including residential projects, administrative appeals, and proceedings before local boards. She also handles litigation involving municipal and regulatory questions. Before joining her current firm, she represented public sector clients while acting as solicitor for municipal boards and commissions. That experience gives her insight into the procedures and legal questions that arise on both sides of local land use decisions.

Julissa Arce completed the 2024–2025 Rhode Island Bar Leadership Academy and previously served on the Providence Historic District Commission and the Providence Green and Complete Streets Advisory Council. She also participates in community service through Federal Hill House and Hilltop Academy. Her practice helps clients understand regulatory requirements, develop applications, and respond to disputes that can affect proposed projects.
