Judith M. Jones

Judith M. Jones has built a respected career in Delaware through more than twenty-five years of civil litigation practice. Her primary focus has been on family law, where she guides clients through sensitive issues such as divorce, property division, alimony, child custody, and child support. She has also worked on matters involving child welfare, helping families navigate complex and emotional disputes.

Judith began her education at James Madison University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 1991. She then pursued legal studies at Widener University School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor in 1996. This strong academic foundation prepared her for a wide-ranging career in civil litigation and family law.

Judith launched her professional path as a clerk in Kent County Family Court for the late Honorable William N. Nicholas and the retired Honorable William J. Walls. This early experience gave her practical insight into courtroom procedures and family law issues. Over the years, she has represented clients in every court in Delaware, gaining a reputation for her skill and dedication to advocacy in family-related legal matters.

Judith has also been certified as a mediator for both Family Court and Superior Court, allowing her to help parties resolve conflicts outside of traditional litigation. Her work as a mediator reflects her commitment to finding solutions that reduce stress and encourage cooperation during challenging times. Recognition for her efforts includes being named among Delaware’s top family law attorneys for several consecutive years.
