Anthony Lopez

Anthony Lopez is a partner in the Miami office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., where he serves as a trial lawyer and Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Construction Law. His practice encompasses a broad range of construction and complex civil litigation matters. He represents contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and owners in construction defect, tort, contract, and lien enforcement claims before state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation.

Anthony earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Administration from the University of Miami, where he was also a member of the University of Miami Rugby Football Club. He later received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, graduating with Dean’s List honors. During law school, Anthony concentrated on trial advocacy, business transactions, and complex litigation. He served as an editor for the FIU Law Review and as a member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, Law Students Division, Board of Governors.

Before joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Anthony practiced at a boutique litigation firm, where he focused on commercial and business litigation, probate disputes, and post-judgment debt collection. This early experience gave him a strong foundation in complex case management and client advocacy.

Widely recognized for his work, Anthony Lopez has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, and Litigation–Construction since 2023. He has also been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars beginning in 2024. His professional affiliations include The Florida Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.
