About
Jude M. Faccidomo is a Miami criminal defense attorney and founding partner of Ratzan & Faccidomo LLC. He defends clients against state and federal allegations ranging from DUI and drug offenses to violent crimes and complex white-collar charges. His work also addresses disciplinary and license-related matters involving professionals. He founded the practice with Mycki Ratzan in 2013 after developing substantial experience in public defense and private criminal litigation.
Jude earned a B.A. in Literature from Bard College in 2000 and a J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2004. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2005. His legal training was followed by courtroom work in the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, where he handled matters involving serious criminal allegations. That experience formed the basis for his later criminal defense practice.
Jude served as an assistant public defender, trying cases that ranged from DUI to first-degree murder. He later spent five years handling complex criminal cases at the practice of Jeffrey S. Weiner before establishing his own firm. His leadership experience includes serving as president of the Miami chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and participating in criminal court and jury-trial initiatives.
Jude M. Faccidomo became chair of The Florida Bar’s Criminal Procedure Rules Committee effective July 1, 2026. His recognition includes the FACDL President’s Award, Gideon’s Hammer Award, Gregg Wenzel Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, and Miami Bar Association’s Sookie Williams Outstanding Community Service Award. He is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and has lectured on criminal defense. His professional service reflects sustained involvement in criminal law beyond individual case representation.
