Joyce Kao Soliman is a seasoned finance attorney with more than two decades of experience guiding clients through sophisticated financial transactions. She serves in firm leadership, overseeing external affairs, strategy, innovation, recruiting, and growth initiatives. In addition, she leads the Finance Section and chairs the IMPACT Committee, reflecting her long-standing commitment to leadership and inclusion.

Joyce earned a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, 1994. She later obtained her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1997. She also completed Harvard Law School Executive Education, Women’s Leadership Initiative, 2019, and Harvard Law School Executive Education, LCLD Institute for the Modern Inclusive Leader, 2024, further strengthening her leadership and management skills.

Joyce focuses her practice on commercial lending and finance matters. She represents domestic and foreign banks, private lenders, administrative agents, and public and private companies in secured and unsecured financings. Her work includes asset-based loans, syndicated and single lender credit facilities, real estate loans, acquisition financings, letter of credit facilities, equipment loans, leasing transactions, and debt restructurings.

Joyce has handled significant transactions across multiple industries. Her experience includes representing an administrative agent in a syndicated revolving credit facility for a private equity fund and advising a marine transportation company in a $295,000,000 secured term loan facility. She has also worked on infrastructure financings for gas storage facilities, synthetic lease transactions, liquefaction projects, sale-leaseback deals, DIP financings, and capital markets matters involving corporate trust departments.

Joyce Kao Soliman is admitted to practice in Texas and is active in several professional and community organizations. She is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and has held leadership roles within the Asian American Bar Association of Houston and the Asian American Bar Foundation. Her work has earned recognition in banking and finance law and financial services regulation, reflecting her dedication to delivering practical, business-focused legal solutions.
