Joshua Kons

Joshua Kons represents businesses across Connecticut in a wide range of business law matters and commercial disputes. His practice includes commercial transactions, debt collection litigation for lenders, and complex securities cases. He regularly appears in Connecticut state and federal courts and handles FINRA arbitration proceedings nationwide.

Joshua earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He later received his Juris Doctor in 2006 from Pepperdine University School of Law. During law school, he concentrated on corporate and securities law and served as a senior fellow at the Geoffrey Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.

Joshua has represented over 1,000 individual investors and financial advisors in securities industry disputes across the United States. He is known for handling high-stakes FINRA arbitration and securities litigation matters. In addition to investor claims, he represents financial professionals in employment-related securities disputes and regulatory matters.

Joshua began his career in the securities industry as an equities trader at U.S. Bancorp, gaining practical knowledge of market operations. After law school, he worked as an in-house attorney at General Electric (GE), where he handled corporate and commercial transactions, debt collection, and asset recovery. He later practiced with boutique business and securities law firms before establishing his own practice.

Joshua Kons is admitted to the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Connecticut, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the State Bar of Illinois. He is also admitted to practice in multiple United States District Courts nationwide and is a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA). He also maintains an active class action practice in financial services and consumer finance, contributing to cases that have secured substantial recoveries for affected clients.
